So, I am driving this Tundra into a small business parking lot. It's got about 50k miles on it, and I've owned it since new. It is quiet and solid as the day it was born. I think to myself, "I really like this. I think this is one I'll keep."

Seriously, this was a dream/nightmare that woke me up last night. I've got real issues.

Sounds like what has happened over the holidays at Eastside Catholic HighSchool.

http://www.king5.com/news/local/Eastside-Catholic-resumes-school-protesting-students-will-be-disciplined-238813151.html

The Vice Principal got married to his life long partner and the Principal told him to get a divorce if he wanted to keep his job or be fired. I hope he gets a much better job elsewhere.

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

In the 21st Century while I understand the catholic church has a right to state their view, it is still WRONG for making a judgement call like this.

Leave it to GOD if you really believe this idol exists. After all his bible written by men states that only he judges.

I am wondering if a chip has been installed in my head. Moltie, you have any unusual lumps behind yer ears?

Drewbert, I will have you know that I kept my '94 S-10 regular cab 4X4 LS 4.3 with 5 speed manuel (Spanish transmission) for 4 years and 125k miles, bought brand new.

So... a precedent has been set. That was a damn good little truck.

Wow...that's a lot of miles in just 4 years. It took me under 10 years to get my '00 Jeep to 100k, and since then almost 4 more to get to 150k. It's the only vehicle I've ever taken past 100k...

My dad still has his garage kept 2005 fully loaded extended cab colorado 2wd with only 45K miles, gold mist color and the 5cyl engine. He keeps telling me it is a collectors and I just smile. He can think that all he wants at 72yrs old.

Interesting point is he has an official GM letter that says he can have the engine replaced with a new one at 100K miles. Not really sure why as they do not explain it but he has kept that letter in his complete file on the truck.

I wonder if they are wanting the engine back to see how it held up????

Sarcasm or did they really do this for a specific group of them?

I am being totally honest about the letter for engine replacement that GM sent my dad. Had never seen or heard of this before. If Toyota is doing this for a small group of Tacoma's was a reason put out as to why?

It's a joke about the Toyota Tacoma Frame Rot Issue. Toyota was buying back Tacoma trucks multiple times over their blue book value or doing full frame replacements. A tenant of mine had the frame replaced on his Tacoma, but he said it was never right after that and ended up trading it in on a real truck, a 2013 Sierra quad-cab.

Maybe it's a secret recall..

Nightmare...

Thinking back, I'm trying to remember the most miles I put on a car. I think it may have been my Avalanche which had 16k. My G8 GT had 15k. My Malibu had 4k. My G6 had 3800. My Fleetwood I bought with 118k and sold with 131k...I think. The Regal currently has 7100.

And Toyota did replace those trucks. Once the frame disappears, it's a way to keep a customer...strange as it sounds.

So I looked at my dads letter and come to find out, select group of 2004 to 2006 Canyon and Colorado trucks have weak heads and so in this case they extended the warranty on these 4 and 5 cylinder engines to 100,000 miles. Also for my dads model year truck, a whole group of trucks had contaminated Dex-cool put into them causing internal corroding. As such, for these owners, they are to run the truck to 100,000 miles and then they can get a new engine installed at GM's expense to replace the old corroded engine. Seems GM is making good on taking care of the customers. I like this. Build faith in the new GM.
